Just Jinjer can consider the Barnyard Theatres OWNED
Wednesday, 1st September 2010
Just Jinjer got their touring chops into gear by going on a nationwide jaunt that saw them playing live at all Barnyard Theatres across the country.
Playing to packed houses each night the band were backed by an Electro-Voice Tour X-rig that left audiences in no doubt that they had just heard South Africa's favorite rock/folk band sounding their very best.
Realizing they needed to up the ante in terms of live sound, the band turned to Dave ter Steege, legendary sound engineer of Hammerhead Studios known for his superb work at Little Falls Christian Centre and more recently Tanz Café. Faced with the challenge of supplying a system that could not only deliver a world class sound performance, it also needed to be rugged enough to be broken down each night and shipped off to the next venue.
The Electro-Voice Tour X system was the perfect solution. Using various combinations of dual 18' subs, dual 15" tops and single 12" tops, crowds have been left amazed at just how crystal clear a rock band can sound live.
Just Jinjer are also the first band in South Africa to use the revolutionary new MyMix personal onstage monitor. Getting a decent monitor mix onstage has always been the bane of every musician's life. The MyMix has solved the problem to such an extent that Just Jinjer's Ard Matthews had this to say:
"The MyMix has actually allowed me to concentrate on the performance, instead of trying to attract the engineers attention so he can adjust the levels of what I hear onstage. The MyMix allows each musician to have control over what they hear in their monitor."
Just Jinjer's boundless talent, coupled with the Electro-Voice Tour X loudspeakers and the MyMix personal monitor have made these Barnyard shows the most talked about live event in recent months.
Just Jinjer will be playing all over South Africa in the summer months until they head back into the studio next year to record their next album.
