Sound School is a condensed sound engineering course developed by leading professional sound company, Prosound, and is aimed at people with little or no audio experience.  Dates set for June and we are taking bookings.

2010 was an extraordinary year for Prosound.  Installation and design of the sound systems in 9 of the 10 stadia for the World Cup, 3 official FIFA fan fests, and the King Shaka International airport project were a few of the highlights that made it a year we will never forget!  We decided to end the year in style and put on a party to rival others!  We wanted to thank those who supported us throughout 2010 and show how we appreciated their contribution.

Electro-Voice has been manufacturing microphones for over 80 years, with a number of techonlogical inovations under their belt. Some of Electro-Voice's most renowned microphones, such as the 635A interview microphone, are still being manufactured and used across the globe.

Prosound held its second Sound School at the Prosound showroom in Hillfox during the months of August and September 2010.  Sound School is a series of courses covering the practical and theory sides of sound, PA set up and live mixing.

After a very positive response to our first course, Prosound will be holding another SOUND SCHOOL in August.  The course is aimed at beginners and people with no prior audio training, so if you need to get the best sound out of your church sound system, or make the students in your school play sound like professionals, this is the course for you!

Prosound and 1F Music said goodbye to NuL with another of the Prosound1f Sessions epic gigs, held at Prosound the Shop.  It was the absolute final show NuL performed in SA before they left for the UK - Final LiKe EveR!

Prosound, the South African agent for TC Electronic,  hosted  Durban musicians, music store staff and media on the 26^th of April at Boogies Rock and Roll Diner in Umhlanga.  TC Electronic manufactures and distributes high end guitar effects stomp pedals and multi effects units, as well as a range of vocal enhancers and studio gadgets. 

Prosound the Shop teamed up with dynamic 6-piece band, Newtown, on April the 14^th to launch their new album ‘The Bridge'.  An energetic, lively performance by Newtown got the crowd going and the atmosphere was fantastic!  Prosound provided an Electro - Voice Tour X rig for the event, which was ideal as Jon, the engineer, could do the band justice by turning up the volume and keeping the quality of the music in tact. 

Prosound, South Africa's leading sound and lighting company went on the road and set up camp in the musician's area at Splashy Fen 2010. With our TC Electronics guitar and vocal processors in tow, we set up a space in the backstage area for the musicians to unwind before and after the show.

The launch of a Sound School by leading pro-audio company Prosound is set to fill a gap in the market with its highly-focused, practical sound courses.  Lecturer and sound engineer Izan Greyling says that although South Africa has many colleges where people can study sound, there is a lack of short, part-time courses with an emphasis on the practical application of knowledge.
